Wild Blueberry Mango Smoothie

Yields:

1 -2 Servings

Both frozen fruits for this smoothie can be found in organic forms, so do yourself a favor and get those, you will notice the difference. I use oat milk, but feel free to sub out another milk – it should not alter the taste in any dramatic way. Keep the blender going a little longer on this smoothie as the mango chunks can get swirled around and not blended in quite easily. If you like it icier, add more ice. **A note about frozen fruits – they are usually picked and flash frozen at peak ripeness. But some are not – mango is one of them. The reason being is that mangos have a very thin line between peak ripeness and over ripe. Processors need “chunks” so, they select mangos that can be cut up and are not mushy. The riper and mushier a mango is, the sweeter. Hence there will be less naturally occurring sugars in most frozen mangos – flavor + less sugar is a win- win.
